BRI SAT, THE FIRST BANK IN THE WORLD, OPERATE ITS OWN SATELLITE

Whoever run faster will be the winner reach the destination faster. Take advantage of new technology in business would be win the competition later. In the case of Bank BRI who invest in high cost  Satellite, projected would win the competition later across the country.

Remembered number one Private Bank, Bank BCA who the first using high IT telecommunication in Banking industry in Indonesia got so many Saving accounts including fee income based of every transactions. In the big cities almost every body opened an account in Bank BCA, instead of other Banks. Their ATM spread in every corners of the cities.


Bank BRI aim such successful private Bank above, Bank BCA since Bank BRI spread its Bank until to remote. It will take some time, but for sure Bank BRI would reap the benefit of Sat BRI, be the 1st Bank in the country later, after Bank Mandiri, recently the top Bank in Indonesia.

Looking back 25 years ago, my Department in Bank BRI start from scratch developed test using Computer in rural area in the bad environment, unstable power, non air condition. Just in short period of time we computerized 1250 units.
Amazing, my department very small staff capable to organized and managed such amount of small Bank units across the country, beyond Computers in Branch offices in the cities.

Manage and operate Computers in Branch offices level in the cities, relatively easier then operate in small Bank units in the Village level. Branch computers manage by one big Division. Compare to BRI unit level managed by few staff in a Department under my supervision as Project manager.

Successful of Bank BRI new satellite, its possible with our sharing to developed Computers in 4.000 Bank BRI Unit in Village level. Management of Bank BRI shouldn't forget our contribution preparing IT in BRI Unit. We proud to be the part of BRI Satelllite.
